The article "The Early Data Release of the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument" claims in section 4.2.3 that k corrections are provided for each galaxy. However, by looking at the documentation and API I find no reference altogether about this quantities being available in the data release at all.

Are k corrections actually available for download as part of the data release?

Hello--

K-corrections are available as part of the FastSpecFit value-added catalog:
https://fastspecfit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/fuji.html

See, in particular, the data model (search for "KCORR"):
https://fastspecfit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/fastspec.html

Also, here's a simple tutorial which shows how to compute your own K-corrections from the fitted models (although this would require installing the code and its dependencies, so a bit more complicated):
https://github.com/desihub/fastspecfit/blob/main/doc/nb/tutorial-kcorrections.ipynb

Finally, if you use the code or its value-added catalogs please be sure to read the acknowledgments:
https://fastspecfit.readthedocs.io/en/latest/acknowledgments.html

And if you have any questions do not hesitate to open a ticket!
