Hello, I've noticed that when using the SPARCL Python package to access DESI spectra, the data from the B, R, and Z spectral arms already appears merged into a spectrum. However, I haven't found documentation explaining the methodology behind this merging process. Where can I find technical details about how these spectral arms are calibrated and combined?

The B, R, Z arms are combined using DESI’s functionality desispec.coaddition.coadd_cameras briefly described here, and with this source code.

We are working on identifying or updating additional references to this code.
